Founded in 1910, Headstone Tennis Club has recently completed a fifteen year programme of improvements which have included, five resurfaced courts, two of which are now floodlit, a refurbished clubhouse and a brand new bar.

Headstone operates six men's & one ladies' team in the Middlesex summer league as well as entering various challenge cups, National Club League, winter floodlit & veterans leagues.
There are a number of internal tournaments and competitions spread throughout the year which all members are encouraged to enter.
Social tennis is played on Wednesday evenings, Friday evenings (after (8), Saturday afternoons & Sunday mornings, although the courts are open for use every day of the year.
At Headstone we know that our Cadet/Junior section is vital to the future of the club and we encourage as many children as possible to play tennis. On Saturday mornings they have priority on the courts from 8.00 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Friday night is Junior Night & Barbecue, 6 - 8 p.m. It's a social evening for all the juniors and their families. During the winter this transfers to Wednesdays 5-7 p.m. The children can play tennis and generally have a fun evening with their friends.
The juniors also play competitive tennis. Teams are entered in the National Junior League. There are friendly matches against local clubs plus internal tournaments
and competitions.
Anthony Lahiffe and his two assistants provide a coaching programme for all ages & standards. Regular sessions are run throughout the week, plus team training and holiday courses for the cadets & juniors.
A new introduction to the coaching programme is Cardio Tennis. This is heart pumping fitness sessions for players of all abilities. It's great fun!!
